Paper-Writing Process

John has worked with thousands of students and understands that some parents and students want a greater challenge and develop advanced writing and critical thinking skills. There are also parents and students who need extra help with general or specific writing skills.

In either case, both students and/or parents will learn time-tested and -proven fundamentals to improved any area or aspect of the essay writing process. Handouts are included at no charge.

John can help students:

– select successful topics
– develop paraphrasing and natural voice skills
– document information and avoid plagiarism
– use simple but powerful pre-writing thinking and organizing tools
– develop parphrasing skills and self-evaluate for plagiarism
– demonstrate superior critical and original thinking skills
– draft, format and edit a high school- or college-ready paper
– review and evaluate their paper

Location

Parents can customize when, where and how they want John to engage their students: face-to-face session in person or by Anymeeting online. email, mail, and phone.

Costs

The Complete Paper. $75 per paper. Includes pre-writing guidance and evaluation and discussion with student, paper evaluation and discussion with student, and paper rewrite evaluation and discussion with student.

Paraphrasing/Plagiarism Skills. $150 for six 30-min sessions. Through a combination of instruction and exercises, students and parents can learn how to successfully paraphrase and avoid plagiarism. 

Research and Documentation Skills $75 for three 30-min sessions. Through a combination of instruction and practical assignments, students can develop effective research, footnoting and referencing skills.

Organizing Skills. $100 for four 30-min sessions. Through a combination of instruction and learning how to use simple but powerful organizing tools, students learn how to successfully complete the pre-writing process and know what they are going to write before they have to write it.
